Real Media Player Affiliate

I recently blogged on using Real Media Capture to capture Video online to your local computer. These videos can include you tube or streaming or just about any kind of video you come across. I haven't found one it doesn't work on.

The real cool thing is that you can become an affiliate of Real Media Capture and earn some extra money. Basically Applian Technologies the company allows affiliates to promote there product.

They just verify your site by looking for a verification code like this "GDXXHCV18299468", once they have done this as long as you follow their rules, you can earn portion of the sales from anyone that you promote the product to.

So we have shown how to easily capture, youtube.com or flash video but next we will step it up full movies.

Capture Youtube Flash

I'm running a little late on my update. Here's the second tutorial on capturing Flash Videos to your machine. What type of videos can you capture? Any Video which you are watching on your computer. The content is being delivered to your computer so all you need is a tool that captures the content and stores it to your computer.

Here's a quick presentation of Real Media Capture.

This tool is very simple to us and works great.

Step 1 Download Real Media Capture, You can use a trial but you will only be able to get a percentage of the video downloaded.

Step 2. Install the real media capture tool.

Step 3. Start the tool.

Step 4. Turn off the tool warning screen. This will only come up once, and just tells you to start your browser after the tool is started.

Step 5. Choose the Demo Mode if you did not buy the product, if you did buy it enter your code.

Step 6. Close the tip of the day.

Step 7. Choose Start Recording now.

Step 8. You should now see the record screen.

Step 9. Open your favorite web browser.

Step 10. Navigate to the site you want to download, and play the video. The Video will start recording in the background immediately.

That's it your recording video.

Capture Video From Other Sites Part 1

In a previous post I show how to quickly edit and capture video from You Tube using a service called Keep Vid. For the most part Keep Vid will help you capture all flash type videos from any website but on occasion you'll find that keep vid can not determine how to capture the video you are streaming. This is no problem, read this next post to see how to capture from other sites.

This post discuss capturing video from sites using a downloaded tool.

What you should understand to use this tutorial? You should understand installing software on to your machine, and you should be able to view source on a web page and identify the video file name that you are downloading.

Capture YouTube Videos

I am going to talk about a simple service out there that lets you capture flash videos to your local computer. In this case I will discuss the ability to capture flash video from a service called KeepVid

I will do a quick walk through on how to capture a streaming video from the You Tube Website.

Step 1 . Go to You Tube and find the video you are interested in. Click the link to the video and start playing the video. Once you are on the page that plays the video you can continue to the next step.

Step 2. Copy the URL from the URL bar of the video that is playing. Highlight the URL and press "Ctrl+C".

Step 3. Navigate to the following "http://keepvid.com" web site or click here to go to the Keep Vid.

Step 4. Enter the You Tube URL into the URL bar on the KeepVid website, and click download. You can use "Ctrl+V" to automatically paste the url you previously captured in step 2.

Step 5.  Choose the download type. Choose either type to record, the second is usually better quality.

Step 6. Choose a location to save it on your local computer and the video should start downloading.

Saving flash videos to your computer

This is a training exercise on how to save flash video to your local computer. It's not about creating your own it is about the ability to save video that you have seen online. Lots of places have gone to displaying video through flash. The days of save video to local computer have changed drastically. This does not mean you can no longer save videos to your computer it just takes a few more steps.

On a side note check with the owner of the video to see if it is allowed to capture their video and save it to your computer. This is just a training guide, in some cases it may be copyrighted and not allowed. The fact that it is able to be captured may not make it legal.

The one thing to remember is any video that is downloaded to watch is on your computer . The video is being rendered from you computer which means the video is truly on your computer even if you physically can't see where its at, even when this video is streamed.

This post will discuss some common tools to help you download flash videos online.
